The LOFT
The LOFT is a large space on Dumfries High Street, brought back to life after decades of neglect with photographers and videographers in mind. An industrial, creative and flexible studio available for hire by the hour, with two shooting bays, a comfortable client area with high speed fibre optic broadband. A commercial kitchen with extensive LOLLI props, a large collection of interchangeable work surfaces and backdrops and ample preparation space. Email for rates.
“We shot a live session in The LOFT in December and it couldn’t have been better.
There is lovely natural light and plenty of space for artificial fixtures.
The space is also extremely long so you can use a variety of focal lengths to different effect.
The LOFT is extremely comfortable with its own incredibly decorated kitchen making it an absolute pleasure to work in.
Communication with Laura was also brilliant, making sure everything ran smoothly.

“I hired The LOFT to take some photos of mugs and had a brilliant time. Lolli was so helpful and accommodating, providing everything I needed and more to take the photos. All I had to do was turn up with my camera and my pots.
The space itself is completely stunning as a backdrop for any kind of photography. Lolli has, at hand a great variety of props, surfaces, lights and photography tools. The natural light coming in through the large windows with the beautiful brick work back drop was perfect for taking the photos of my mugs.
I would highly recommend The LOFT to anyone looking for a space to take photos of their products. I can’t wait to go back with my next lot of pots.

The LOFT is spacious and has lovely natural light so we knew the photos would work well.
Lolli is a great hostess and looked after us thoroughly well on the day. We even used her gorgeous green sofa for some portraits shots.
The LOFT is a beautiful venue with the exposed brick compared with the white plaster and natural floor boards.

Loading/Unloading:
Vehicles are permitted to drive into the pedestrianised High Street at specific times of day (check local signage) to load/unload equipment.
